My family loves Germany. My dad served his mission there and his family lived there for a time when he was a kid. We like to eat German food (the classics at least) and we like to follow the German soccer team. We also enjoy going to Oktoberfest at Snowbird. We of course don't go for the drinks ;) just the music and food.
This year my parents invited all of my siblings and grandkids to go with them to Oktoberfest one weekend. McKay happened to be helping his dad on his farm so it was just the kids and I that went. Thankfully the kids were so well behaved and we had a nice day. We listened to the music, danced, ate food, juggled lots of babies, and walked around a bit. It was more crowded then I had remembered it being in years past, but we still had a nice time.
When my parents went to Germany together a few years back they brought Addie a traditional german dress and they brought the boys jerseys. Luckily Addie was able to still fit into her dress and Rockwell got to wear Declin's old soccer jersey. My dad even wore his German attire. Fun to be able to use the outfits again.
