My kids have never been ones to fall asleep in random places. My babies love to sleep in their cribs and none of my kids will fall asleep while watching a movie or on the couch. So when I caught Mr. J sleeping while lying between two chairs I laughed and of course had to take a photo before moving him to a safer location. He is definitely one to fall asleep in random places and if he sits still long enough to watch a movie then he usually ends up falling asleep.

Little A's 2nd Birthday
Little A turned 2 in January. This was our first birthday that we get to spend with her and it was a special day celebrating her.
We spent her special day playing dress up with her. Eating breakfast burritos for dinner (she LOVES scrambled eggs and salsa) and singing Happy Birthday to her. She loved the extra attention and enjoyed opening her birthday present (a princess pop up tent). She also celebrated with her bio family on a different day. They had a fun party at Classic Skating with friends and family. The kids had a blast at this party and I loved seeing them SO happy to have fun memories with their family.
Little A is such a beautiful girl with the piercing brown eyes. She knows very few words at this point but we are able to communicate well through hand gestures and her facial expressions. She loves baby dolls and sippy cups of milk. She is physically strong and climbs, runs and moves so well. She is a great eater and loves to try new foods... even things that aren't foods. haha! We have to keep a very close eye on her as her curiosity often gets the best of her. She loves dogs and taking baths. She is a wonderful sleeper and takes great naps. She is currently in early intervention for speech and you can tell she wants to talk, but hasn't learned the skill yet. She is so smart and loves exploring the world around her. She loves to undress herself so she often lives in backwards footie pajamas so that she can't get her clothes off. haha! Little A we love you and are so happy that we got to spend your special day with you!

Jensen's 7th Birthday Party
Since Jensen's actual birthday was over Christmas break we decided to wait until January to have his party with friends.
We held his party on Saturday Jan 11th and invited a few friends from school and a few friends from his church class. We came up with a scientist party theme and it may have been my favorite birthday party theme ever. It all turned out so cute and the kids had a great time.
When they all first arrived we had them dress in a lab coat, an ID badge, and safety glasses. Then they were ready to enter the "lab".
We did 3 experiments in the house that I found on Pinterest and diet coke and mentos experiment outside on the grass. We also ate pizza, had cake and ice cream and opened presents.
The kids loved the elephant toothpaste experiment and their homemade slime turned out great.
I am so thankful we were able to have this party for Jensen and we hope he had a great time.

Nursery for Rockwell
Rockwell turned 18 months old on January 8, 2020. 18 months old means nursery around this house!! We were all super excited for him and hoped he would have a great time. McKay and I were especially excited to be able to enjoy Sunday school/ relief society kid free. Well he went ok the first day with just a little crying but it has gone down hill since then. Bummer! He is totally overwhelmed by the other kids and the new teachers. So for now McKay and I take turns going in with him and hopefully he will feel comfortable going to class on his own soon.
Rockwell you are the cutest/ easiest/ funniest toddler ever and it is a joy to have you in our family.

Little A is in Rockwell's nursery class and she wanted in on the photo shoot as well.
These 3 don't always love taking photos so to have this photo of them all together AND smiling was a miracle. We definitely sent it to their mom right away. Cuties!

Sea Quest For Winter Break
There is a Sea Quest near our house. It is a fun place to take the kids and interact with sea animals. But it is also very expensive if you pay full price. Thankfully we learned that Sea Quest allows foster families to go for free you just have to buy your own tokens.
We have had a greattime taking the kids on different outings to Sea Quest over the past few months and they love the animals.
We rarely take all 8 kids out at once unless we feel comfortable at a location and know that we can keep them all safe aka: keep track of 8 little kids running in 8 different directions. Thankfully we feel comfortable at Sea Quest and have had a few family adventures there.
