We did something new with the conference treats and we all liked this way. Before conference started I took a few of the kids to Walmart and we stocked up on special treats. Then I divided the treats up into 4 different groups. Then during each session of conference the kids got an individual treat bag to eat out of. They were able to eat it as fast or as slow as they wanted to throughout the session. The kids really got excited about the bags. It was a really nice motivation for all 8 of them to come listen to the conference talks. :)

October General Conference 2020
General Conference was in the beginning of October. The excitement level for general conference this time around may not have been as high as the one in the spring. Partly because we have been doing at home church for many months now so the newness had worn off. In addition there wasn't as many new things to announce since Covid is still in full swing and there just aren't a lot of opportunities at the moment. But less exciting or not the sweet messages from our leaders still brought a lot of peace and calm to our troubled world. The way I felt before conference started and the way I felt after was tangible and I was so grateful for the relief from the stresses of daily life. Now we just need to hold on to that spirit for the next 6 months right?!

Family Photos Sept 2020
I love the tradition of family photos. Especially while my kids are so young. They truly grow up so fast and change so much from year to year. This year I got matching dresses for all of the girls (which I loved). They were supposed to be adoption day dresses, but the adoption didn't happen when we expected it to so we just used the dresses for the family photos. The boys outfits all came together thanks to Old Navy. They really have such cute boy clothes.
The current ages of the kids in Sept 2020 are
Adalyn- 9 years old
Jensen- 7 years old
Declin- 6 years old
Big Sis- 5 years old
Mr. J- 4 years old
Magnolia- 3 years old (almost 4)
Little A- 2 years old
Rockwell- 2 years old
