Declin turned 3 years old on September 24, 2017
His birthday was on Sunday and it was the older kids Primary program that day. So of course matching outfits were in order. The kids didn't get the memo that I wanted nice photos though. haha! They weren't having it.
Grandma and Grandpa Cannon even came to visit for the special day. We were all so excited that they were here.
We had church at 9:00 am then we had a breakfast lunch after church (Declin's favorite meal of the day) and then presents, cake and ice cream after lunch.
Declin LOVES paw patrol right now. He especially loves the pup Rocky. In his mind he IS Rocky. So Paw Patrol toys were the theme of his presents and he loves them.
It was a Paw Patrol themed party, cake, and presents. I actually really liked having his birthday on a Sunday this year. It was a nice family day. I hope he felt loved, Happy Birthday Mr. Declin!
The day after his birthday we did his birthday activity. He chose to go swimming as a family. We didn't get any pictures while swimming, but he had a great time going on the slide and jumping in the water. Although he didn't love the hot tub.
A few things about Declin at three. He is the cutest guy ever. He is solidly still in 2t clothes and is in the 20-30th% in height and weight. He has a great vocabulary and understands very well. He is a smartypants and likes thinking about things and reading books. He loves movies. Way. too. much. He has a very good attention span for a 3 year old and if he is interested in something he will focus for a very long time. So movies are easy for him and I wont lie it is a nice thing sometimes. He is still trying to figure out the playing with friends stuff, but he actually plays really well with Adalyn and her friends (when they let him play with them). He and Jensen have a wonderful (or not) love/hate relationship right now. Usually Jensen teases Declin and then Declin whines to mommy. It is so fun! ;)
Declin loves the color green and milk. Lots and lots of milk. He still is a picky eater, but with some new rules in the house he is branching out and will at least try a bite of new foods. His favorite foods are currently pb &j sandwiches and string cheese. Declin loves the library and nursery. He loves his mommy and is never too far away from me all day and all night. He still wakes up once a night. He has been my little side kick the longest, but I think he is slowly growing up. I will miss my little buddy when he goes off to school in a few years, and I am thankful that I am able to spend my days and nights with him.
He is not potty trained yet, but is figuring it out. We just took him out of his crib and into his toddler bed. He loved his crib for a long time. He could easily climb in and out of it, but he loved the security of the rails on each side of him while he slept
