Declin Turns 5

On September 24th Declin turned 5 years old!  Happy Birthday to this adorable and super smart kid!  He was very excited for his birthday as all kids are.  He had a long list of things that he wanted to get and loved helping plan his first friend birthday party.

On his actual birthday we did a small family celebration and then planned his party for the Friday after.  On his birthday we went to Mcdonalds and let him get a happy meal while our foster kiddos went to their visit with their family.  He even got to sit in the passenger seat next to me while he ate his food (the car was parked).  After the kids visit and Big Sis's dance class we went to Steed Pond and ate pizza, played on the park and opened presents.

On Friday the 27th we had his party with friends.  It was a spooky monster themed party.  We painted wooden haunted houses, decorated the house with "spooky" things, had a spooky piñata, read Declin's favorite Halloween books, and ate mummy brownies.  It was a fun day to celebrate Declin and he seemed to like the party a lot.

I wont lie the Halloween themed party was super easy during this time of year and Declin loved it.  win win!

Now a few things about Declin at 5 years old...

He is enrolled in Waterford Upstart preschool and really enjoys it. He is counting down the days until he starts kindergarten.
His favorite color used to be green, but has now switched to blue.
He still loves paw patrol, rescue bots, dinosaurs, and is now also really into dragons.
He and Big Sis are cute friends and he loves playing with her.
He is still a picky eater and tortillas are his favorite food, followed closely by Nutella toast
He LOVES numbers and organizing things into patterns.  He loves a good number line.
He is currently taking swimming lessons and LOVES it.
He has the best vocabulary and likes to use big words.
He cares about his mommy and family and we love him too!
He currently wears 3t and 4t clothes, and size 9 shoes.
