Ringing in 2018!

After Jensen's birthday party we headed back to Idaho after being in Utah with family for a week.  We had a day to ourselves to recover and organize Christmas presents and then we had a fun visit from Laron (McKay's oldest brother), Michelle and four of their five kids.

Oh our kids LOVE their cousins and it is such a fun treat for us when they come visit.  We were pretty wiped out from Christmas, being sick, and for me pregnancy so we layed low and didn't have too many exciting things going.  The kids played in our newly finished basement and the adults chatted.  McKay and Laron stained our basement barn door and the girls went for a evening run to Texas Road House for some appetizers.  The next day we took the kids to Kids Town, a fun local kids play place.  They had a blast there and I was glad we were able to get out of the house even though winter is freezing here in Idaho.  I am sad to say I didn't take a single picture while they were here!!  I meant to several times, but never actually did it!  I did take two pictures of my boys at Kids town, but no cousin photos.  Shame on me...

Laron and Michelle left on Saturday afternoon and my parents arrived Saturday evening for a little New years eve party.  Corinne and Stu even came Sunday morning to join the party as well.  It was a great weekend to celebrate finishing the basement and enjoy using it with family.  We played with Solomon and ate more yummy treats and snacks (since we didn't have enough at Christmas).  The adults joined the kids on a big game of doge ball in the basement and some fun rounds of hide and seek.

Lots of board games were played after the kids went to bed (a favorite these days is Quixx), and once again we loved having visitors.  We stayed up till midnight new years eve and welcomed in 2018!  Time with family is such a blessing and we are grateful for all the time we get.  Thank you to everyone who made the drive from Utah we truly appreciate it!

Welcome 2018!
