Two Birthdays, One Day

We were surprised to find out that McKay and Mr. J share the same birthday.  Their birthdays are the start of "birthday season" at our house.  From June until February we have a birthday every month, except for November.  McKay and Mr. J's birthday also land at the beginning of summer vacation, SO we decided to do something special this year to celebrate.  We decided to rent a bounce house/ water slide to set up in our back yard for an entire day.  I have been wanting to rent one for a long time and their birthday's seemed like a good day to do it.

McKay set the bounce house up before he went to work and the kids played on it all day.  Pace cousins came over and joined them in the afternoon for some water fun and then we had a little birthday celebration in the evening with Cannon cousins.

Mr. J turned 3 years old and has the sweetest smile that makes me melt.  He is the strongest little guy I have ever met and is very athletic.  He loves cars and dinosaurs.  He is a great brother to his sisters and loves to cuddle.  His favorite thing ever is playing with long hair.  At bedtime he cuddles up and loves to run his fingers through my hair.  He loves juice and is an amazing eater.  He loves the color blue and loves to be pushed on the swing.  Mr. J we are so happy that we got to spend your birthday with you and hope you had a great day!  We love you!

McKay, the biggest kid I know.  :) We LOVE you!  Thank you for doing this crazy life with me.  I am sorry you are SO "old" now (he's 34).  haha!  I hope you felt loved on your birthday as well.  We are grateful for your patience with this crew of ours and are grateful that you get up each day and try your best to help in anyway that you can.  These days McKay's hobbies include playing baseball in the backyard with the kids, changing diapers, moving carseats from one car to the other, and fixing all the things around the house that the kids break.  He also loves his young mens calling and is a diligent employee at work.
