Later we went back to our house where Grandma and Grandpa Cannon and Corinne and Stu came for pizza and cake and ice cream. This seems to be becoming a tradition for birthdays now that we live in Utah. Family time is awesome and it has been making our birthdays extra special.
After the food Jensen opened his gifts. McKay and I were pretty last minute with our gifts for Jensen this year. We had several ideas of what to get him, but they just weren't panning out right. In the end I sent McKay to Target WHILE we were at Kangaroo Zoo (talk about procrastination) and he got him a big yoga ball (it was for kids) and a balance board. Both actually turned out to be great gifts and the whole family likes to use both items.
Jensen this has been a big year for you as you grew up and started school. He is the perfect student and truly is an angel for his teacher. At home he lets his true colors out a bit more ;) This year I feel like we all really got to know what things Jensen loves. His hobbies and interests. He loves to learn how things work and try different experiments. He loves anything to do with science and has had a special interest in math. He doesn't play with toys unless he can be active with them. Sitting and playing make believe is just not his thing. He loves magneformers and blocks to build with. He loves his family fiercely and his siblings are his favorite people to play with. Although he loves a good tag and chase session with daddy. This kid truly has endless energy. He REALLY does not love wearing church clothes and it takes lots of motivation to convince him to wear them each week. Jensen's favorite foods are popcorn and all things sugar. He especially loves honey.
Jensen we love having you in our family!
