He was so sweet and surprised me by taking the day off of work. He woke up early and entertained the kids as they woke up so that I could sleep in. It felt SO good to sleep in. The rest of the day was fairly normal, but it was fun to work together on the house chores. That evening we got away and went on a date. We went to the nativity and gingerbread house display at the Museum of Idaho. It was opening night so they had a tree lighting ceremony and fun Christmas displays. After the museum we grabbed some Olive Garden to go and then went home and watched the 3rd Divergent movie on Vidangel. We had Magnolia with us so an evening at home was best this year.
We are really enjoying the life that we have created. We both work hard to make this marriage work, and I love how well he "gets" me. Flaws and all. 7 years is starting to feel like we might be leaving the newly wed stage soon. Hopefully we can continue to learn new things about each other and find more ways to bring happiness and love to our family and marriage. Love you McKay!
Also, I have wanted to do a post with all of our family pictures that we have had taken so far in our marriage, and our anniversary blog post seemed like a good place to post them. I will start with a wedding photo and go until our current family photo from Magnolia's newborn photos. It is amazing how time flies!
