This month has been a great one with sweet little Declin. I am just soaking in the last few months of him being little and still loving being held. He is getting more and more mobile and will soon want to be up moving around and not cuddled.
He is a short stocky little guy. A little chubby but still SO tiny.
He is still just solely nursing with the occasional bottle although the kids did try and give him some mashed potatoes and smoothie this month. He didn't go for either one.
He takes two naps a day and then goes to bed around 8:30. He loves bedtime and sometimes giggles as we are rocking him to sleep. He especially likes it if I make a humming noise while I bounce him to sleep. Also if I have just fed him he will burp three times and then fall asleep very quickly. It is funny how it is always three burps.
His hair is getting lighter and falling out... I am seriously sad about it. I LOVED his dark hair.
This month he had his first Valentines day and we spoiled him with kisses and a date night with mommy and daddy. Although he didn't really love the date night since it was past his bedtime.
He still spits up lots and usually on my favorite outfit right as we are walking out the door.
He is a mover now! He rolls, scoots, stretches, and more to get around and reach all of his favorite toys. He can do a 360 degree turn in less then 2 minutes. His favorite thing this past month was scooting backwards. we would find him half way under the couch and beds all the time. He also LOVES tummy time which surprised me because my other kids hate it. But because he spends so much time on his tummy is a lot stronger then either of them were at his age.
Oh, his giggle is adorable and gets even cuter when he has the sleepy sillys.
His favorite toy was this one that he got for Christmas. Perfect size for his little fingers to grip and he loved chewing on the little knobs on the ends.
Declin and Adalyn have started creating a special bond. She loves babys and can't help but try and make him laugh every time she sees him. She never lets him go unattended when he is crying and in turn he gives her the biggest smiles and loves her attention. Jensen is a little more reserved and only interacts with Declin when he is in a good mood. Otherwise he is usually just jealous that Declin is sitting on my lap instead of him. In Jensen's defense he has been doing some serious teething this month and has been extra clingy to me.
Declin is one sweet baby and we are happy that he is in our family. Happy 5 months Declin!
He is saying... "oh mommy you are so funny!"
