Happy Birthday Big Sis

Big Sis turned 5 years old on February 13th.  She is a little Valentines baby just like I am.  It is fun to have a birthday buddy in February.

Her class celebrated her at school and her Bio mom brought treats for her to pass out to her class at school.  We have never had a kid have their birthday on a school day so this was a fun first for us.

When our kids turn 5 they get to have their first friend birthday party.  Big Sis chose a Mermaid birthday party.  She LOVES Ariel's beautiful red hair so we tried to incorporate red into her party theme.  We had a few neighbor kids over and some cousins.  The party was busy but in the best way.  By the end I think everyone had a fun time with the games and food.  The kids hit a pinata (always a favorite game at the 5 year old parties), they went "fishing" for prizes and we had dinner and donuts.  Big Sis loves donuts and it was a fun change from the normal cake and ice cream.  Opening presents is always a favorite activity for the birthday kids as well.

Big sis we loved celebrating you on your birthday this year and we hope you had a wonderful time!  We Love You!

Now a little bit about Big Sis.  She is a girly girl through and through.  She loves glitter, dresses, and high heels.  She is the best little singer and remembers all the words to songs.  She is the best sister to Mr. J and loves hanging out with Addie and Nola.  She CANNOT wait until she has a husband and loves to see McKay and I kiss (haha).  She loves ponies and princesses and wants to be involved in all the cooking in the house.  She loves pickle chips and string cheese.  She is the sweetest little girl who wants everyone to be happy.  She is her mommy's little buddy and misses her daily.  Big Sis has dealt with incredible change in her life and she is handling it the best she can.  We are so grateful to know her and hope that we can bring some happiness and peace into her life.  She brings so much to our lives daily.
